SUMMIT 2011 MILANO
The 2nd edition of the World Regions Forum – which has taken place on 28th, 29th, 30th September 2011 in Milan – addressed both political leaders and partners from the non-governmental sector (companies, universities, research centers) having high-level expertise in the WRF cooperation areas.
The September Forum has been dedicated to the theme “Multilevel governance and civil society for innovation and growth” and has included thematic workshops about entrepreneurial cooperation, researchers’ mobility, environment/water resources and cancer care and biobanks.
Thematic working sessions have come to some common outcomes such as: the creation of technical secretariats to follow the activities of the Forum, the definition of dedicated and thematic task forces and the establishment of teams including the private sector.
A presentation of Expo Milan 2015 and the opportunities for leading international “regions” being partner of the WRF was offered to participating delegations.
