What is the World Regions Forum? |
|
The World Regions Forum is an international meeting that, for the first time ever, brings together the world’s most important regions, with the aim of discussing together complex global challenges, in the context of shared socio-economic development in members’ territories. |

What will be the operative outcome of the World Regions Forum? |
|
The Forum suggests that participants create a Work Team to coordinate start-up of projects shared during the work sessions. Three different projects are envisaged:
- Knowledge Based Economy
- Environmental sustainability
- Health

What is the aim of the World Regions Forum? |
|
The World Regions Forum brings together top authorities at sub-government level, with the aim of bridging the gap between ideas and proposals, between different nations and cultures, and of providing a place for leaders to meet and discuss in detail the most important global issues, going on to create platforms of shared actions. |

Is this the first edition or have there been previous events? |
|
There have been no previous editions. This is the first meeting ever at international level for the world’s most important regions. |

Where will the World Regions Forum take place? |

Who can take part? |
|
The World Regions Forum is reserved for government delegations from invited regions and for some local or national Italian bodies. |
|
Will the event be a closed session? |
|
Yes, it will be a closed session, with media invited to the opening and closing phases. |
|
In what language will the summit’s proceedings be carried out? |
|
Participants will intervene in their mother tongue. Ten translation booths will ensure that sessions proceed smoothly. |
